Discord · Audio

Music that does not cut out mid-chorus.

Every public Lavalink node is somebody else's computer under somebody else's load. A dedicated node is yours alone: your password, your bandwidth, your uptime.

What a Lavalink node actually is

Discord voice is not HTTP audio — your bot cannot just play a file at a channel. Lavalink sits between the bot and voice: the bot sends it a track to resolve, and the node streams, decodes and feeds the audio itself. Our node ships with the server installed and running; your job is pointing the bot at it.

Dedicated, not shared

One tenant: you. No rate limits borrowed from strangers, no disappearing endpoints, no wondering whose queue is hogging the CPU.

Password-protected

The node answers only to clients holding your password. Rotate it any time from the configuration if it ever leaks.

Connect a bot in four steps

  • Create a Lavalink Standard server. It provisions with the server installed and the daemon running.
  • Open the server in the dashboard to find its address and port.
  • Put the host, port and your password into your bot configuration.
  • Play something. If it stutters only under heavy concurrent load, size up — otherwise leave it alone.

The questions people actually ask

Why not just use a public Lavalink node?

Public nodes are shared, rate-limited, and disappear without warning — usually in the middle of a song. Your own node answers only to your bots, keeps your password private, and does not get slower when someone else goes viral.

What does my bot need to connect?

Three things: the node hostname, its port, and the password you set. Those go in your bot config (for example lavalink.js or your application.yml equivalent), and the bot handles the rest over the Lavalink protocol.

How much load can one node take?

Audio work is light per stream but adds up: a single small node comfortably serves several busy guilds. If queues start stuttering under concurrent load, that is the honest signal to size up — not before.

Is the connection secure?

Set a strong password and keep it secret — anyone with the address, port and password can use your node. The panel file manager gives you access to the configuration for SSL and source settings.

Can I run multiple bots against one node?

Yes. Point each bot at the same host, port and password. They share the node fairly, and your dashboard shows the live load so you can see when sharing stops being enough.

Stop sharing a stranger's audio node.

Lavalink Standard is ₹79 a month — your password, your bandwidth, your uptime, from the minute it provisions.
